About Jyränkölä
We are a non-profit association operating in Heinola and Lahti, and we use our proceeds for the benefit of the local community and society. We employ more than 300 professionals in a wide range of fields, from practical nurses to part-time teachers. We are members of the Finnish Federation of Settlement Houses and ARVO – the Finnish assication of Social Enterprises. We have also been awarded the Key Flag Symbol as proof that our services are produced in Finland.
Our services
Support to unemployed and immigrants
To support employment, we offer opportunities for work trials in our own units, help people find both subsidised and open positions through our partner organisations, and explore suitable study options.
We tailor our services to each person’s individual needs and life situation. We also help employers find suitable employees and provide support with matters such as employing immigrants.
We also organise integration training for immigrants.

Joy through hobbies and voluntary work
Heinola Adult Education Centre offers a wide range of courses and events, giving people of all ages opportunities to enjoy high-quality activities close to home, participate in the community and meet new people. You can study many different languages and take part in exercise classes, among many other courses.

Tuttis is a shared meeting place and “living room” for the people of Heinola. Through Tuttis, you can become a volunteer or receive help from a reliable volunteer, either regularly or on a one-off basis. Volunteers can provide assistance at home, accompany you when running errands or join you at cultural events.

At the HeiMo training café and the Tuttis and Mustikkatupa meeting places, you can enjoy coffee with freshly baked treats. You can also read the day’s local newspapers and catch up with friends and acquaintances.

Safe and communal living
Jyränkölä’s assisted living residences provide a home for more than 270 residents in the heart of idyllic Heinola and the city of Lahti. In addition to assisted living apartments, our four residential care homes include group homes for people who require round-the-clock care. Twenty-four-hour assisted living is available through service vouchers, purchased service agreements or private payment.
Our skilled and caring staff are available around the clock. Care, cleaning and errand services can be provided either on a one-off or regular basis.
